The Stock Market Challenge™ is based on the principles of investing and trading where corporate guests (evening event) and high school student participants (daytime events) immerse themselves in the stock market by participating in a computer assisted stock market game. The teams buy shares in a variety of fictitious companies and are able to buy and sell stock throughout the event. Using a sophisticated computer software program, giant screens in the room project the team standings and changing stock values. Hand-held PC's are used to enter the data.
The goal of each team is to accumulate the highest possible net worth in their investment portfolio prior to the close of trading. This modern, technology-based game creates an atmosphere of fun and excitement. The adults (evening event) can challenge one another to see who will come out on top while the high school students (noontime event) are provided an opportunity to learn about the Stock Market, as both adult and student teams of four play the role of traders.
The Stock Market Challenge™ is not only a successful fundraiser, it also acts as an awareness-building event that provides significant exposure to all sponsors and can be used as a learning program for students at the same time.
The Stock Market Challenge is made possible, in part, by the generous support of the following sponsors:
